This is regarded as the major section of this school, established on 26th March 1957. It was the significant educational institution in Pokhara at that time for promoting social value in every individual. The educational performance has been appreciable from the beginning. Students from this school have been providing their services in various fields from the ranks of dignity of our country and abroad too.

In 1958, His Majesty Late King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev laid the foundation stone of the main building. In 1963, Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, the then president of India, paid an inspection visit to this Institution under his state visit programme of Nepal. Later, in 1966 Central Co-Ordination Board formally handed over all the responsibility to run this school to His Majesty's Government of Nepal. At the same moment to keep the memory of those brave warriors, the initial name of this school was changed to Shree Amar Singh High School, with view to commemorate the brave man of Nepal.

Historically proved as the pride of Western Region, Amar Singh Model Higher Secondary School has been striving for the modern, dynamic & quality education encouraging students to achieve excellent results. The Higher Secondary Section of Science Stream was started in 2000 (2057 B.S.). It is competing with all higher secondary schools including the private sector, with respect to physical facilities, extra curricular activities and educational performances. As per growing demand of students and guardians, the school decided to run Education, Humanities and Management from 2062 B.S. (2005 A.D.). First batch of these streams is appearing higher secondary board examination this year for the first time.

On the occasion of "International Year for The Disabled Persons 1981" this section was launched by the Government for the blind children. It is one of the biggest school among all of the blind schools in Nepal. Up to this year 67 blind students passed the S.L.C. examination. Some of them completed their higher education and they have been working at various fields. Right now, 54 blind students are regularly studying here residing as boarder students.

To fulfill social demand for contemporary quality education, English Medium High School Education has been running since 1987 A.D. (2042 B.S.). It is building up excellent educational performances and grading up institutional career early from the beginning.
